I was going to wait a while to post this, but I cannot sit back and see people call Ash a liar when I know for a fact what she said was true.
Dahvie Vanity is not who most people think he is. He is not this savior that everyone should worship. He is not innocent. Many people have stepped out and accused him of doing the same things over the past years. If I was just a normal fan, just that would raise suspicions. But I know more than what a normal fan knows. I have friends that have been on his tour bus and have such negative stories that I know without a doubt that Dahvie is not the saint he acts like.
First of all, one that NO ONE can deny is the fact that Dahvie is inappropriate on stage. There is a way to be crazy and sexual, and then there is over the line. Showing your ass to a crowd of mostly underage fans on purpose is too much. I am 20, and I do not want to see a full grown man’s ass while he is performing. To me, that itself is disrespectful. It’s disrespectful to the fans, to the venue, and to potential new fans that were there to see the opening bands. Also, what he says on stage “I’m going to cum all over your face” is not appropriate. MAYBE if the entire crowd was legal age, then that MIGHT be somewhat appropriate. But for a fan base that is majority young underage teenagers, they do not need to be hearing that their “idol” is going to do that. Many young teenagers take what they see and hear their idols do and think it is acceptable. He needs to step up and be a good role model for the fans. Especially since I have heard many fans tell him that he saved their lives. I do not feel a man who saves people’s lives with his music should be acting like that on stage.
Also, what he puts on for the fans is an act. He seems like he worships his fans, and they mean the world to him. Yes, without the fans, he wouldn’t be where he is today. But I have seen him outside of the concert/post-concert scene. I saw him at a club, where many other bands have stopped and said hi to me, and at times would talk to me. He barely said acknowledged to me, a fan. He saw me, yet he didn’t say anything. I am not mad about it, but if another member from the same band can take a little bit of time to stop and say hi, then couldn’t he?
To confirm some accusations that other people have made about Dahvie, he is disrespectful to some of his friends. My friend Haley (NOT Haley Rose) was invited to be on the tour bus for the first few dates of the Fight to Unite tour. She flew out to Arizona to start the tour with them. She was sharing the back bed with Dahvie himself. After one of the shows, he locked her out of the room so that he would do stuff with some groupies. What? I do not know. Were they underage? I cannot confirm that. But I do know that it was very disrespectful for Dahvie to do that. She ended up not even staying on the tour bus after the Hollywood show because she did not feel comfortable. Another time, Dahvie asked another one of my friends, who is underage, to stay on the bus with him for a while. Haley told her it wasn’t a good idea, and for their protection, Dahvie’s security guard escorted them off the bus. Even before I got to know Dahvie, I was hearing the talk about him doing stuff with underage girls. At the All the Rage tour, an underage girl went on the bus, and a group I was around started talking about how if his girlfriend wasn’t with him, he would do something with that girl. At least one of the people I was around knew Dahvie better than just a fan. A girl told me about a this girl she met at the Arizona show that was on tour with Dahvie and he left her stranded. I’ve seen a girl cry after a show because Dahvie ignored her.
I’ve been around when he has drawn on people’s faces. Yes, it is out of fun, but under no circumstance is it okay to draw a swastika on someone’s face. Even if the actually person did not mind it, there could be other people around that were offended by that. A leader, idol, and role model should NEVER do something with that much risk of offending someone. Drawing penises, boobs, and mustaches on someone is one thing, but anything more offensive than that is too much.
For the MOST controversial accusations, has he done stuff with underage girls? This I can certainly say yes. Two of my friends lost their virginity to him. They we both underage when they had sex with him, one was 17 and the other was only 15.
I’ve heard of stories where Dahvie promises something, and then after hours of waiting falls through. I can go on about other examples to prove the accusations to be true, but I hope you understand. There are things that go on behind the scenes that many fans don’t get to see or hear about. I know people who have experienced things, and they talk to me about them, so I know just a small piece of what happens behind the scenes.
Someone I know once said this about Dahvie: “He expects you to worship him. Once you stand up to him, you’re gone.” This is said about the same man who writes many songs about respecting people, loving people even if they have different views, and not bullying someone. I know people are proof that that quote is true. Ashley’s story is just one of many that I’ve heard. It disgusts me to think that a man preaches anti-bullying could be such a bully himself. He is like the Regina George of the SGTC. What he says goes. And if someone stands up against him, there’s drama. A grown man should not be acting like a high school teenager. People should not be afraid to stand up to him if they have been mistreated or made to feel uncomfortable, but they are. He has created this fear in many of us that if we stand up to him, we will be shunned from the SGTC. That is completely wrong to do. If someone does not agree with him, he should understand the view and figure out a compromise. If someone does not feel comfortable around him, and its approached in a civil manner, the solution should not be “go home,” it should be “how can we fix it for the rest of the time that you are around.” Being in a band, on tour, or even just around a group of people is like being in a numerous way marriage, there needs to be compromises to make it work. “My way or the highway” is a key attitude to an unsuccessful group.
I know many of you are going to hate me for speaking up; but seeing people call Ashley, someone I call family, a liar made me mad. Ashley gave me the courage to speak up about the stuff I have seen him do. I could go on and on about all the things I’ve seen him do, but I hope what I have said helps make the message clear.
I know very few are going to believe what I have said, and so many are going to start attacking me. But I want you to try to step back and think about this. Could what Lady Nogrady, Ashley Costello, other people, and I have said be possible? Take all the emotion of being an SGTC out of your thought for just a little, and think about it. There have been times when I hear stuff about someone I fully support and my first reaction is to defend them. But I stop and take all my emotions of being a fan out of the reaction, and then I react. Please do not let your anger of me saying something negative about your idol control your reaction. Everything I have said is my opinion based off of my experiences or things that I have seen or heard. There are no lies in this post.
